Arab weather - a new polar week affecting Jordan and two air depressions, one accompanied by heavy rain and the other with snow, more details via the weekly weather forecast video

Expected weather this week:

Sunday | A second-degree depression affecting the Kingdom with the afternoon hours:

• The weather is generally cold and clear in most areas until noon.
• A cold air front begins to cross the Kingdom with the afternoon hours, starting from the northern regions
• The rain, God willing, begins in the north of the country and extends by evening to the central regions.
• The weather at night is very cold and fluctuates between partly cloudy and cloudy with showers of rain, God willing, at separate intervals in the north and center of the Kingdom in addition to Karak and Tafila, accompanied by hail sometimes.
• Snow showers are likely over the areas of Al-Rashadiya and Al-Qadisiyah (Tafilah Governorate) and the tops of the Shobak Heights.
• Sometimes low clouds touching the surface of the earth cross most of the high mountainous heights, which leads to the formation of fog at intervals.

Monday | The Kingdom continues to be affected by the second-class air depression and the accompanying very cold air mass.

• The weather is cold in most areas, and very cold over the high mountainous heights and often cloudy with rain, God willing, from time to time in the north of the Kingdom and some central areas sometimes, accompanied by hail
• Snow showers are likely to fall in the morning over the high mountains in the north of the Kingdom, including the peaks of the Ajloun and Jerash mountains.
• Occasionally, rain mixed with snow is expected over the central highlands when precipitation is available.
• At night, the Kingdom’s impact on the depression decreases, and temperatures drop to around zero degrees Celsius or below in large areas of the Kingdom, with the formation of frost and freezing in different parts and previously wet roads.
• Fog is expected to form in some areas of the southern and eastern Badia, in addition to the eastern plains, the area of Queen Alia International Airport and the surrounding parts in the late hours of the night.
