Weather of Arabia - Guatemala enjoys one of the most beautiful climates on Earth. Travel and tourism specialists describe it as "the land of eternal spring", as most parts of the country enjoy warm days and light evenings throughout the year.
Guatemala is a tropical country with distinct wet and dry seasons. However, some areas are rainy throughout the year, while others are dry and sunny most of the year.
Temperatures vary according to the height of places above sea level, and not according to seasons. On the coast, it is hot all year round, while in the mountains and peaks it can be cold at night and early in the morning. You will even find frost common at the highest altitudes, which range between 3500 and 4000 metres.
In those areas between elevations of 1,300 and 1,600 metres, which include Guatemala City, Antigua, Lago de Atitlan, and Copán, despite the heat of the midday sun, humidity is never a problem because the air is always freshened by currents.
Low-lying Petén is very humid most of the year, as are the Pacific and Caribbean coasts, but you'll at least enjoy the sea breeze.
The peak tourist season extends from December to March, because the season also coincides with the winter months in most northern countries and the Christmas holidays, so hotel reservations may be difficult if you are late in implementing them, especially in the most popular tourist areas.
In general, the best time of the year to visit Guatemala in terms of weather is during the months of December and January, when you will find everything green from the abundance of rain and the sky will be clear.
If you want to avoid the crowds, we recommend that you travel during the periods when there are fewer tourists, which is at the beginning or end of the rainy season, when the weather is still good, but some of the country's rough roads become quite impassable, unless the tours are by car SUV.
