Bogor Botanical Gardens.. A peaceful getaway from busy Jakarta

The Indonesian Institute of Science manages the park, which is considered the oldest botanical garden in Southeast Asia . It is located on an area of 87 hectares and contains more than 13 thousand different species of plants, in addition to about 50 species of birds.

Gunting Pond is one of the most important attractions within the park, and it is a beautiful pond located next to a number of monuments, most notably the Bogor palaces. At the main gate of the park, you can find the Bogor Museum of Zoology, which was established in 1894 AD to be a research center.
