China deploys solar panels in the Jai Tai desert for clean energy

Within a few years, solar panels covered its deserts. In Jai Tai, solar panels cover an area of 319 square kilometers, at a rate of 80,000 solar panels per square kilometer.

The manager of the solar panel station in Ja Tai commented, “Before there was the Gobi Desert here, there was nothing but stones that were carried by the wind. It was not arable land, it was useless for anything, and now it is a treasure.”

China has realized that its reliance on coal is disastrous, since its cities are currently suffering from pollution and even suffocation, and it must intensify its efforts to adopt clean energy, which seems possible , given that China enjoys significant natural advantages.

One of the advantages of solar panels is that they do not require major maintenance operations, and their validity period is approximately 25 years. However, there are some negatives, of course, as the desert is far from industrial areas and customers, so the process of transferring electricity to all vital areas requires an appropriate and expensive infrastructure.

It is noteworthy that the exploitation of this solar power plant is only 50 percent complete.
