Arab Weather - The latest outputs of the numerical weather models processed by the Arab Weather Center indicate that Iraq will be affected at the end of the week by a cold air mass coming from the north and northeast, which will cause a drop in temperatures and an increase in wind speed, especially in the northern and western regions.
In detail, Iraq will be affected by a cold air mass starting from the northern and western regions on Friday and Saturday, and will increase at the beginning of next week to extend to the rest of the regions. Temperatures will drop to become around their average for this time of year. Cold weather will prevail in the northern regions (very cold over the highlands), while it will be pleasant in the center and south of the country. The winds will be northwesterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active and accompanied by strong gusts that will stir up dust and dirt, especially in the northwestern regions.
God willing, it is expected that on Sunday and Monday, clouds will appear at different altitudes in northern Iraq, and there will be a chance for showers of rain to fall on parts of the northern regions, especially the mountainous ones, in the form of snow on the mountain peaks on the Iranian-Turkish border.
Night temperatures will also drop on Friday/Saturday nights and Saturday/Sunday nights compared to previous nights, and the weather will be cold in all areas, turning very cold in the late nights, especially in the north and west of the country, with the possibility of frost forming in many areas.
God knows best.
