Arab Weather - Based on the latest outputs from computer simulations, Arab Weather experts reported that the Kingdom will remain, God willing, under the influence of a cold air mass accompanying a low-pressure system on the last day of this year 2024, bringing more rainfall to many regions, while the effects of the low-pressure system recede and the weather tends to stabilize on New Year's Eve and during the first days of next year.
On Tuesday morning, coinciding with the work of employees and university students, the weather will be very cold and showers will fall on the north and center of the Kingdom, sometimes heavy rains, extending to lesser intensity to parts of Karak and Tafilah. During the rest of the day, temperatures will be cooler than their average for this time of year. The weather will be generally cold in most areas, and will vary between partly cloudy and cloudy.
Rain continues to fall in the north and center of the Kingdom, including Karak Governorate, and gradually extends over time to Tafilah Governorate. During the afternoon and evening hours, the rainfall extends and is concentrated in the south of the Kingdom in the form of scattered showers, accompanied by hail sometimes falling over the highlands, and the winds are southwesterly, moderate in speed, and active at times.
During the night hours of Tuesday/Wednesday (New Year's Eve), the low pressure system will recede, and night temperatures will drop, making the weather cold to very cold, especially over the mountainous highlands and eastern plains. Rain chances are expected to gradually decrease and remain in random and limited parts of the south of the Kingdom at the beginning of the night. Surface humidity levels will also rise significantly.
Weather conditions are suitable for fog formation in large areas of the Kingdom, especially the eastern plains, including the Zizia and Dabaa areas and Queen Alia International Airport. The fog will be dense and may cause a decrease or even a complete absence of horizontal visibility, especially at dawn and on Wednesday morning.
Recommendations:
Drive with extreme caution due to poor horizontal visibility caused by fog.
Beware of the risk of frost formation, especially in the highlands, eastern plains and desert areas.
Safe use of heating devices.
Wearing heavy clothing.
And God knows best.
