Arabiaweather.com - Ismail Qasimi - Dubai began the year 2017 with the launch of more impressive numbers and projects, after completing the year 2016 with the opening of a group of large tourist attractions, and the first projects in this year are represented in Dubai Harbor.
Dubai Harbor will be the largest yacht port to be built in the Middle East and North Africa region, as it was launched by the Dubai government with the implementation of the Meraas Holding Group. The development of the project will take four years.
The integrated project covers an area of 20 million square feet, which includes 4 existing areas targeting 3 main sectors: shopping, tourism and real estate. The distinguished project occupies a good location on the waterfront area, as it is located between the Palm Island and Jumeirah Beach Residence.
Among the facilities that will be included in the project are the Dubai Marine Sports Club, the Dubai Harbor Shopping Mall with an area of 3.5 million feet, the cruise ship port, Lugo Island, Skydive and the Dubai Lighthouse, which is 135 meters high.
The Dubai Yacht Port can accommodate about 1,400 yachts and will be able to receive large cruise ships in the port designated for them, in addition to a huge building with an estimated capacity of 6,000 passengers.
