Weather of Arabia - The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority decided that the working hours of workers and employees in the field will be from 7 am to 11 am, while the second shift will be transferred to after 5 pm, from Saturday to Tuesday due to weather conditions.
The decision came, according to a statement issued by the authority, "in view of the weather conditions, and in anticipation of the expected record high temperatures."
The head of the Aqaba Special Region Authority, Nayef Al-Fayez, emphasized “cautious dealing with the exceptional circumstance, to protect workers in the field,” calling on citizens to “exercise caution and caution, and not go out at peak times, and not leave children outside their homes, and take into account the care of the elderly and the sick during that wave.” warm".
Al-Fayez stressed that the authority and its teams "will be ready to serve all citizens and residents, and provide cadres and mechanisms to deal with this wave in cooperation with medical personnel and private and public hospitals, to avoid any cases that may be exposed to heatstroke."
Aqaba Governor Khaled Al-Hajjaj said, "The governorate house has taken precautionary measures in anticipation of various circumstances, and the procedures have been circulated to all institutions in this regard."
He referred to "raising the readiness of the Water and Electricity Company and the rest of the concerned agencies," speaking of "continuous coordination with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and the Directorate of Education for schools in which there is training, such as vocational schools, in which training ends before 11 am instead of 2 pm. Coordination is carried out first-hand with all relevant authorities, especially universities.
