Dubai Airports confirmed that air traffic at Dubai International Airport (DXB) was affected due to bad, dusty weather, this afternoon; This resulted in diverting 10 incoming flights, and directing them to Dubai World Central Airport (DWC) and other surrounding airports, according to an official spokesperson from Dubai Airports.
For its part, Dubai Airports is working in cooperation and coordination with all strategic partners to reduce the repercussions and restore air traffic to normal as soon as possible, saying in its statement: "We apologize for any inconvenience."
For his part, a flydubai spokesperson said today: “The current weather conditions in Dubai today have caused some delays to a number of our incoming and outgoing flights. We are continuing to monitor the situation, and we apologize for the inconvenience the weather conditions may cause to our passengers.”
It is noteworthy that the Emirates Meteorological Center has warned of dust and dust suspended in the air, and the lack of horizontal visibility on some open areas, as visibility decreased due to a wave of dust and laden dust and a decrease in horizontal visibility to less than 500 meters at Dubai International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, and Al Maktoum Airport Al Bateen and Al Ajban Airports in Abu Dhabi, Sweihan and Al Ain International Airport, Zaba in Al Ain and Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafra region, and in separate parts of the country.
