In detail, weather experts at the Arab Weather Center reported that the European continent, especially its center and south, is exposed to upper weather systems, where cold upper basins repeatedly rush in, coinciding with air currents with high surface heating that merge with cold and humid upper air, which produces sometimes severe rain waves in several European countries, including the Balkan countries and Turkey, accompanied by large hailstones, the formation of torrents, and a rise in water levels.

The role of the La Niña phenomenon in changing weather systems in Europe

Meteorologists at Arab Weather pointed out that the La Nina phenomenon has a significant impact on weather around the world, including Europe. During the La Nina period, the surface temperatures of the tropical Pacific Ocean are lower than usual, which affects global weather patterns.

Regarding rainfall in Europe and the arrival of upper troughs, La Niña could increase the activity of the jet stream, bringing low-pressure systems and upper troughs to northern Europe, thus increasing rainfall in these areas during the summer, especially northern Europe. The path of the upper troughs may change, as cold weather systems move from the Atlantic Ocean towards Europe, leading to weather fluctuations and increased chances of rainfall in some areas.
