ArabiaWeather - Many travelers circulate many false negative facts about the foods that airlines offer them during their flights, and they direct harsh criticism of the meals provided to them on board.
According to USA Today, many of the facts and sayings spread among travelers and on social networking sites about plane food are nothing but speculation and individual opinions. Here are 5 myths about airline meals:
1- Airplane meals are usually frozen and not fresh, and are heated shortly before being served to passengers. This is not accurate, as many airlines usually provide freshly cooked meals shortly before take-off.
2- Distinctive meals are served to passengers in business class and first class, and regular meals are served to passengers in economy class. This makes sense because first-class passengers pay a hefty sum for premium services.
3- Some foods like butter, french fries, and fish spoil at high altitudes, but airlines insist on serving them to passengers. This is not necessarily true because many prestigious airlines have enough experience to know the appropriate types of food to offer to passengers.
4- There is a prevailing belief that eating fast food is considered healthier than eating meals on the plane, and this is not true because airlines take into account health standards in their meals and provide meals with good health specifications.
5- Many travelers believe that airplane food makes the traveler relax and fall into a deep sleep, and this is illogical because it is in the interest of airlines to satisfy their customers and provide them with the best services to gain their trust.
