ArabiaWeather.com - The National Center of Meteorology in America said that there are two fires that are expanding rapidly and a few kilometers apart on the northeastern edge of Los Angeles, amid fears of their convergence, after they forced more than 700 people to flee the area.
The center added that the two fires - both in the Los Angeles National Forest - expanded to about twice the area last night and are almost uncontrollable.
According to the Forest Protection Agency, one of the two fires spread over an area of 3,000 acres by the early hours of the morning, while the other fire remained on an area of 2,400 acres.
These two fires come at a time when California and the US southwestern states are witnessing sweltering weather at the beginning of the hot summer season, which made it difficult for firefighting teams to control the fires that are raging in dry weather.
