ArabiaWeather - During their domestic flight from Bangkok to the tourist island of Phuket , the passengers of AirAsia flight FD3015 experienced moments of terror, as they discovered a live snake in the overhead luggage compartment. A statement issued by the company stated that they had received notification about this unusual incident. Familiar, which occurred on the current date of January 13 , in which the plane was en route from Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok.
The statement indicated that the plane landed safely without any accidents, and was immediately examined by the relevant engineering and safety teams on the ground.
For his part, the head of the airline's safety department, Phul Bumbuang, confirmed that the accident was a "rare occurrence," and added in his statement: "The flight crew was alerted before landing at Phuket Airport, after a passenger discovered the presence of a small snake in the overhead baggage section."
He explained:
“The crew received good training to deal with such incidents, as they moved some passengers from their seats as a precaution.”

“In accordance with standard procedures in cases such as this, the aircraft underwent a deep cleaning process before resuming flight operations.”

The airline did not provide details about the snake's fate after the plane landed at Phuket Airport. However, a video went viral on TikTok showing a passenger spotting the snake on board, as a flight attendant appeared to deal with the situation.
In the clip, the host is seen holding a plastic bottle in an attempt to deposit the small snake inside it and after failing to do so, he uses the back of the bottle to push the small snake into a plastic bag.
This is the second such incident reported on board an aircraft of the same airline. In February 2022, a snake was reported to have been discovered on another AirAsia domestic flight in Malaysia, resulting in the plane being rerouted to Kuching International Airport.
