Global warming will be most severe on the Canadian prairies

ArabiaWeather.com - A recent study by the Canadian Prairie Climate Center of the University of Winnipeg confirmed that the Canadian Prairies will be the most affected by global warming than anywhere in the world.

The province of Manitoba, located in west-central Canada, with the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta, to the west of it, forms the Canadian prairie provinces that are characterized by their agricultural plains and vast flat land.

The study stated that part of the populated areas in the south of the prairie will witness hot summers by 2080, similar to those witnessed in the US state of Texas today, according to "Radio Canada International."

She added that the number of days that will record high temperatures, exceeding the threshold of 30 degrees Celsius in the wild, will double from three to four times by the end of the current century. Which means that the Canadian prairies will witness periods of drought, extreme heat waves and wildfires.
