General situation:

• Many parts of the peninsula continue to be affected by heat waves at periods throughout the summer.
• Extremely hot weather, with temperatures expected to reach 50 degrees Celsius on some days in parts of eastern Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq, in addition to the desert areas of Oman and the Emirates.
• The possibility of wet flows over the southern Arabian Peninsula is being closely monitored, causing waves of rain in some periods, especially over the southern parts of the Arabian Peninsula.
• Rainfall is higher than average in southwestern Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and the Hajar Mountains in Oman, in addition to the mountains of the eastern Emirates.
• It is not excluded that, on some days of the summer, unusual rain will occur in Gulf countries, and this may include some capitals.
• The winds are less active than usual, although they are active at intervals and stir up dirt and dust.

First month: July 2024

General situation: It is expected that the high air pressure will be concentrated in the high layers of the atmosphere over the northern regions of the Arabian Peninsula for most of the month, and this will lead to:

• Much warmer temperatures in many regions of the north, northeast, and center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq, and the frequent occurrence of heat waves in these regions, while they are lower than their usual rates in the southern regions of the Arabian Peninsula.
• Weaker than usual wind activity in Al-Bawareh, despite expectations that it will occur at periods of the month.
• Monitoring the flow of waves of moisture to the southern parts of the Arabian Peninsula as a result of the rush of the monsoon depression near the Arabian Peninsula, thus increasing the chances of thunderstorms over Yemen, south and southwest Saudi Arabia, and the mountainous highlands of the Sultanate of Oman and the Emirates, and accompanied by thunderstorms that lead to Great flow of valleys and torrents.
