Weather of Arabia - Mecca: The Ministry of the Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that holders of visit visas will not be allowed to enter or reside in Mecca, from Thursday , May 23, until June 21. The Ministry clarified through its account on the X platform on Thursday, May 23, that all types of visas... The visit is not considered a Hajj permit, and will not enable its holders to perform Hajj rituals.
The Ministry advised visitors to avoid visiting Mecca during the specified period, warning that violators may be subject to penalties.
These measures come within the framework of implementing security and organizational plans to ensure the safety and reassurance of the guests of God, and to enable them to perform their rituals safely. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also announced that Umrah permits will only be issued to those who have a confirmed Hajj permit during the period from May 24 to June 26.
The authorities will impose a fine of 10,000 Saudi riyals on citizens, residents and visitors who enter Mecca without a Hajj permit.
