Highest this summer: temperatures in the fifties were observed in the Arabian Peninsula during the past days

Arabia Weather - The Arabia Weather Center monitored recording temperatures in the fifties in several parts of the Arabian Peninsula during the past days, as a result of the region being affected by an intense heat wave resulting from the positioning of the air high in the high air layers in the northern regions of the Arabian Gulf basin, coinciding with a deepening of the thermal depressions. Which led to temperatures rising several degrees higher than normal.

Arab countries recorded the highest temperatures this summer so far

Specialists at the Arabia Weather Center indicated that official data issued by meteorology in Kuwait, Iraq, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia showed that many cities recorded temperatures in the fifties, the highest being in Jahra, exceeding 52 degrees Celsius, followed by Basra, Kuwait City, Dammam, and Al-Ahsa, at about 51 degrees Celsius. Celsius, and many cities recorded temperatures around 50 Celsius, including Qaisumah, Baghdad, and other cities.

These temperature values are considered the highest in the Gulf Basin this summer so far, despite the region being exposed to more than one heat wave this summer, and even though the temperatures reached very high values, reaching 52 degrees Celsius, as mentioned above, the temperatures were not recorded. Record values, as the highest temperatures recorded in Kuwait and Iraq reached 54 degrees Celsius in 2016.

What about the coming days? Are there new heat waves?

Weather forecasters at ArabiaWeather said that the weather forecasts during the coming days indicate a decrease in the severity of the heat compared to what was the case in the past days, so that temperatures are expected to drop to their normal levels in large parts of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq.

However, computer outputs indicate that temperatures will rise again by the end of this week, approaching 50 degrees Celsius in many countries, God willing.
