ArabiaWeather - Some people are accustomed to writing their personal data on travel bags to ensure they are found if they are lost at or outside the airport, but this procedure may lead to serious problems that many ignore.
According to what was reported by the British newspaper "Mirror", pilot Jonathan Breeze warned against putting tags bearing the home address on or inside the bags, noting that this could cause disaster for the baggage owner. Breeze explained that putting the address on the bag gives the thieves an opportunity to know that no one is in the house, which exposes it to theft.
To ensure travelers get their bags back if they are lost, frequent flyer Richard Clive suggests writing your work address and mobile phone number on a card and placing it inside or on the surface of the bag. Clive also advised taking pictures of the luggage and saving them in a special file containing the phone number and travel destination, and keeping the file on a mobile phone or laptop.
