Weather of Arabia - If you think that not brushing your teeth with toothpaste at night only affects tooth decay and gingivitis, then you are wrong. According to a recent study, not paying attention to brushing your teeth affects an important organ in the human body.
A recent study showed the importance of brushing your teeth before bed in preventing cardiovascular diseases. Scientists studied 1,675 patients ages 20 and older who visited Osaka University Hospital in Japan from April 2013 to March 2016 for examination, surgery or treatment.
These patients were divided into four groups based on their oral hygiene habits. In addition, variables such as age, gender, smoking history, dental health status and medical records were evaluated.
The results of the study showed that people who were committed to brushing their teeth before bed were less likely to develop cardiovascular diseases.
The study authors pointed out that the results highlight the importance of brushing teeth before bed, as brushing only in the morning after waking up is not enough. They emphasized the necessity of brushing teeth before breakfast to prevent cardiovascular diseases. They added that nightly brushing teeth before bed plays an important role in maintaining overall health.
In this context, researchers believe that bacteria in the mouth may play an important role in causing infections throughout the body, and these infections can contribute to serious health problems such as cardiovascular disease.
