Important warnings to deal with a heat wave

Arab Weather - Last Saturday, August 29, 2020, the impact of the heat wave on the Kingdom began, which also affected most regions of the Levant, and a very hot atmosphere prevailed in most regions of the Kingdom, as the temperature in many regions of the Kingdom exceeded the forty-centigrade barrier.

In light of the continuing impact of the heat wave for several days, we reiterate the importance of adhering to the following tips and recommendations:

• Avoid direct and long exposure to sunlight in all regions of the Kingdom, especially during the afternoon and afternoon hours,
• Drink more cold and moist fluids.
• Beware of leaving children and infants inside a closed vehicle in order to avoid serious health problems.
• Attention to the risk of health complications in patients with cardiovascular disease, in addition to diabetes, endocrine diseases, and the elderly.
• Lack of physical exertion outside.
• Not to drink caffeinated or sugar-containing drinks because they lead to fluid loss from the body.
• It is preferable to wear light and loose clothing.
• Wearing hats and sunglasses, especially people working in the construction sector or agriculture, whose work requires staying under direct sunlight for long periods.
• Watching children and not allowing them to play under the rays of the sun, as it exposes them to the risk of heat stroke
• Absorbing electricity is not overloaded.
