In France, wander through the historic palaces in the Loire Valley

It is a cultural and touristic area located on the edges of the Loire River, and it is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as it acquires the name “Royal River” thanks to its castles and palaces historical.

Among the palaces and castles that were built in the Loire Valley region, there are the Palace of Blois, Chambord, the Castle of Villandry, the Grand Palace in the city of Amboise, and the Palace of Ainay-le-Vaiye.

The Grand Château de Amboise was one of the great residences of the French kings, and was rebuilt in 1492 by Charles VIII, when it marked its golden age in French history as a stately building overlooking the Loire River.

Amboise was the favorite city of King François I, who asked Leonardo da Vinci to come and live out his last years in the little Claus Lucy close to the château. You can visit it with guided tours, or better yet, do it in an unconventional way, such as cycling along the valley that originates from the Gerbier du Jonc mountain in the Auvergne highlands. It reaches the mouth of the river on the coasts of Saint-Nazaire.

Among the palaces of the Loire Valley, which will please the visitor, there is the Palace of Ainay-le-Vaiye, where it is advised to visit it, as the palace gardens take you in a different way to the past through the scents of roses, next to them are small channels and herbal borders that were built in a stage of feudal rule.
