In pictures: the results of the `Weather Close` competition

ArabiaWeather.com – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced the winning photos in the competition for the most beautiful photos under the theme of climate, weather, water and science, as the competition was fierce after more than 2,000 photos were submitted.

The subject of the winning photos varied between the phenomenon of the aurora borealis and the clouds that accompany thunderstorms (Shelf Clouds) and others.

It is noteworthy that the pictures were taken from separate parts of the United States of America, which is characterized by a huge diversity in various natural and climatic phenomena, in addition to the Antarctic Arctic, where the aurora borealis appears in one of the atmospheric research observatories.
