Arab Weather - Weather maps at the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate that several parts of Iraq will be affected by a state of atmospheric instability during the coming days, resulting from the passage of a low-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere with a surface extension of what is called the Red Sea Depression.
The capital Baghdad is expected to be exposed to unstable and severe conditions during the early hours of Friday morning and until the evening hours, resulting in the proliferation of clouds at different altitudes, as thunderstorms of varying intensity fall, sometimes very heavy in some neighborhoods, especially the eastern ones, accompanied by hail showers and strong thunderstorms. This will result in rising water levels in some cities and neighborhoods, the occurrence of water pools, and perhaps the formation of torrents in the roads as a result of thunderstorms.
Stay away from valleys and torrents due to the high risk of flooding in the afternoon.
Beware of the risks of rising water levels, water pools and traffic jams.
Take shelter indoors during thunderstorms, avoiding trees. If this is the only option, take a crouching position.
In the event of a thunderstorm, protect yourself inside a building or car and avoid touching metal parts.
And God knows best.
