Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Center said that the latest data from computer modeling shows an intensification of atmospheric instability on Saturday, accompanied by showers in scattered areas. It will intensify during the hours of Saturday/Sunday night and Sunday, when the upper air depression passes and a clear intensification of the intensity of the instability occurs, which leads to the proliferation of cumulus clouds with showers of heavy rain in different areas, concentrated in the northern regions, and sometimes very heavy and accompanied by strong thunderstorms and lightning, and showers of heavy accumulated hail.
In detail, temperatures will remain 2-3 degrees Celsius below their usual rates for this time of year on Saturday, and the weather will be autumnal and warm in most parts of the country, including the capital, Baghdad. The state of atmospheric instability will continue, as clouds multiply at different altitudes, and showers of rain will fall in scattered areas, sometimes heavy in some areas. As for the winds, they will be southeasterly and moderate in speed, but they may sometimes be active, stirring up dust and dirt.
During the night hours, i.e. Saturday/Sunday night, and with the approach of an upper air depression, the state of instability is expected to intensify, as cumulus clouds multiply and heavy rain showers are expected to fall on several regions, especially northern Iraq, accompanied by severe thunderstorms and heavy hail showers. Dense fog is also expected to form in the northern regions, and it may be frozen over the mountain peaks due to the drop in temperatures.
On Sunday, the impact of the atmospheric instability will continue, and temperatures will drop slightly to become 3-5 degrees Celsius below their annual average, and the weather will be moderate autumnal in most areas. The impact of the instability will be concentrated in the northern regions, where cumulus clouds will multiply with heavy showers of rain, sometimes very heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms.
And God knows best.
