Arab Weather - The latest advanced computer modeling readings at the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate that the Republic of Iraq will be affected during the remainder of August by a severe and exhausting air mass that will reach its peak at the end of the month with scorching weather, and the capital, Baghdad, may record 50 degrees Celsius and may exceed it in the desert and southern regions.

Arab Weather experts said that the numerical computer models at the Arab Weather Center sense the position of a blazing center of an extremely hot air mass over Iraq, which is looming over most areas of Iraq, causing a clear intensification of the heat wave on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and is accompanied by what is known as the heat dome phenomenon. As temperatures rise further, exceeding what they are supposed to be by about 4-5 degrees Celsius, the most appropriate description of the weather at that time is that it is blazing in Baghdad and in all areas of Iraq, as maximum temperatures are between 48-50 degrees Celsius in the capital Baghdad, while they reach the threshold of 50-51 degrees Celsius in the southern and desert regions, including the cities of Basra and Maysan, God willing.

Heat dome intensifies over Iraq by the end of this month

Experts at the Arab Weather Center said that weather models indicate the possibility of the heat dome worsening over Iraq by the end of this month, which will lead to another rise in temperatures, to be within the 50 degree Celsius range in Baghdad, and temperatures in some southern and eastern regions will exceed 50 degrees Celsius.

Hot nights are coming to Iraq and the stressful atmosphere continues at night

God willing, night temperatures are expected to witness a clear rise during the heat wave period, with the weather being hot and gloomy during the night hours in various regions of Iraq. Minimum temperatures (the lowest temperature during the day) will be at very high levels, reaching approximately 33-35 degrees Celsius, which are values ​​​​recorded during the peak of the day in the capitals of the Levant sometimes.
