Arabia Weather - The latest advanced computer modeling readings at the Arabian Regional Weather Center indicate that the Republic of Iraq will be affected, as of Wednesday, by an intense and exhausting heat wave that will reach its peak at the end of the week in scorching weather, and the capital, Baghdad, may record 50 degrees Celsius and may exceed it in the desert and southern regions.
Arabian weather specialists said that the computer numerical models at the Arabian Weather Center sense that an extremely hot air mass is being placed over Iraq and is hovering over most regions of Iraq, causing a clear intensification of the heat wave on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, which is accompanied by the so-called heat dome phenomenon, as there is a further rise in the temperature. Temperatures exceed what they are supposed to be by about 5-6 degrees Celsius, and the most appropriate description of the weather at that time is that it is scorching in Baghdad and in all regions of Iraq, where the maximum temperatures are between 48-49 degrees Celsius in the capital, Baghdad, while it reaches the threshold of 50-51 degrees. Celsius in the southern and desert regions, including the city of Basra and Maysan, God willing.
The winds will be moderate northwesterly, sometimes active and raising dust in the east and south of Iraq.
It is expected, God willing, that the night temperatures during the heat wave period, especially the weekend, will witness a clear rise, so that the weather will be hot and stuffy during the night hours in various regions of Iraq, and the minimum temperatures (the lowest temperature during the day) will be at very high levels, reaching approximately 33-35 degrees Celsius. These values are sometimes recorded during the peak of the day in the capitals of the Levant.
God knows.
