The cold wave will deepen its impact on Iraq in the second half of the week, as the cold air mass moves to settle in eastern Turkey and northern Iraq. As a result, temperatures will drop further, becoming colder than usual for this time of year by about 4-6 degrees Celsius. The weather will be cold in the northern and western regions, and relatively cold in the rest of the regions, with temperatures ranging between 9-11 degrees Celsius in the north and west of the country, while they will be between 15-17 degrees Celsius in the capital, Baghdad.
Temperatures also drop sharply and noticeably, especially during the nights of the second half of the week, and very cold weather prevails, with temperatures reaching 4-6 degrees Celsius in the capital, Baghdad, while they are slightly higher than that in the southern regions.
