Arab Weather - The latest satellite images from the Arab Weather Regional Center show the beginning of large amounts of clouds crossing the skies of northern and western Iraq, where cloudy and rainy weather prevails at times, with heavy rains at times, and snow begins to fall on the high mountain peaks, especially in the border areas adjacent to Syria and Iran.

Computer simulations indicate that the effects of the cold wave will actually begin in central and southern Iraq on Tuesday/Wednesday evening. The country will witness a rapid drop in temperatures as the weather turns completely cloudy, which creates the opportunity for showers of rain in some areas.

There are expected to be strong temperature differences between Tuesday day and Tuesday/Wednesday night, as temperatures drop significantly during the night hours, with differences in Baghdad reaching about 13 degrees Celsius. The weather will be cold to very cold in most areas, with minimum temperatures in the capital reaching 8 degrees Celsius. Thick clouds will cover the sky, with heavy rain in the northern regions, and may turn into snow over the mountain peaks. Rain showers will continue in some central areas, while thunderstorms will continue in the eastern border areas.
