Irbid Municipality: Closing the Bushra-Hawwara road in Irbid due to high water levels

Weather of Arabia - Irbid Municipality closed the Bushra-Hawwara road on Friday evening due to the high level of rainwater in the sloping areas and posing a danger to vehicles and citizens.

The municipality's media spokesman, Ghaith Al-Tall, said that barriers and directional signs were placed in coordination with the security authorities to prevent citizens from using the road. The road is outside the regulatory limits and is considered an alternative and shortcut, but the presence of a valley stream on it makes it dangerous during heavy rain.

Various areas of Irbid Governorate have been witnessing heavy rain since the afternoon hours, and the operating rooms have not reported any notable incidents, except for routine complaints related to rising water levels in some streets, blockages in some rainwater drainage pipes, and dealing with water accumulations in excavations for contractors of some various service companies.
