Weather of Arabia - A cement wall 30 meters long and 3 meters high collapsed in the Souf area, west of Jerash Governorate, according to Hisham Al-Banna, Director of Media and Social Communication in the Greater Municipality of Jerash, on Tuesday.
Al-Banna said, "The collapse of the wall occurred due to heavy rain," pointing out that the collapsed wall "does not constitute a danger to the street adjacent to the area of collapse."
The emergency cadres and teams of the Greater Jerash Municipality moved to the site of the collapse "immediately," according to Al-Banna.
He added that the Greater Jerash Municipality "has raised its maximum readiness to deal with the depression," pointing out that "dealing with a number of complaints, most of which were collecting rainwater and storming homes," noting that "all the municipality's cadres are currently deployed in the field."
Jerash Governor Firas Al-Faour told Al-Mamlaka that "all roads within the governorate are passable," calling on citizens "not to leave homes except for necessity and to contact the numbers of the main operations room inside the governorate."
And the heights of the governorates of Jerash: Souf, Saqib, and Asfour Gap, snow fell on Monday evening.
