Jordan | Declaring a medium emergency due to the expected weather condition

Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced, on Monday, the start of work within the medium emergency plan, starting from Tuesday, coinciding with the expected weather conditions affecting the Kingdom, according to information received from the Meteorological Department.

In a statement, a copy of which was received by "Roya", the ministry confirmed its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions and to process the observations received 24 hours a day through its 106 teams distributed in the various governorates of the Kingdom.

Circular to the works directorates

She added that, at the behest of the Minister of Public Works and Housing and the Minister of Transport, Maher Abu Al-Saman, a circular was made to its directorates and offices in various parts of the Kingdom to be fully prepared to face the expected weather conditions, to conduct periodic inspection tours of all regions, and to provide the Central Emergency Unit with periodic reports, according to the rules, noting that the directors of the directorates have been appointed. And offices working in the field to submit an emergency plan according to the need and developments in the weather.

Coordination with the Ministry of Works

The Ministry stressed the need for permanent and continuous coordination with the Ministry's partners, to work on resolving and addressing all observations immediately to maintain the continuity of services provided to citizens, according to the followed government approach.

And she called on citizens to take caution and beware of the danger of low horizontal visibility due to dust raised by active winds in the desert areas and the danger of torrential rains in valleys and low areas, including the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

She also called for not hesitating to report any emergency situation through direct communication with the main operations room in the ministry and the operations rooms in the governorates, or through the application of the works notification system on smart phones or through its operations rooms at the following numbers:
