Weather forecasters at the Arab Weather Center said that the geographical nature of the Kingdom gives a difference in the feeling of temperature from one place to another, as the Kingdom is characterized by the presence of a chain of mountains extending along its western front, while the eastern region of the Kingdom is characterized by its low elevation and the abundance of plain areas. Therefore, temperatures and weather conditions differ between the western regions, especially the mountain range, and the eastern region.

Because the temperature decreases as the height above sea level increases, we find that the western mountain range of the Kingdom is characterized by somewhat lower temperatures than the eastern regions, and the higher the altitude of the mountainous region, the lower the temperature. For example, the minimum temperature expected in the east of the capital, Amman, is this. Tonight, at an altitude not exceeding 800 meters above sea level, is 23 degrees Celsius, while the expected minimum in the Tlaa Al-Ali area, at an altitude of more than 1,000 meters above sea level, is around 20 degrees Celsius.

However, of course, the temperatures in the various regions of the Kingdom are considered pleasant and do not tend to be cold tonight. However, there is a mountainous region in the Kingdom where temperatures will drop tonight and the early morning hours of tomorrow to a level where the weather will tend to be cold, which is Jil Umm al-Dami in the south of the Kingdom.

Umm al-Dami Mountain, located in the southern region, is considered the highest mountain peak in Jordan, with a height of 1854 meters above sea level. It is located in the Wadi Rum region within the borders of Aqaba Governorate, specifically near the borders adjacent to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as it is due to the great height of this mountain from The sea surface temperature is noticeably lower than the rest of the regions, even in the summer, as the expected temperature tonight in Jabal Umm al-Dami is only 16 degrees Celsius, which tends to be cold at this time of the year.
