Jordan is implementing projects in the field of wind energy

ArabiaWeather.com - Khitam Amer - The Kingdom is currently cooperating through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, in addition to five international companies concerned with renewable energy, to work with each other with the aim of increasing the use of clean and sustainable energy in several projects. This cooperation comes specifically in the field of wind energy utilization in Jordan.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Haider Al-Qammaz, says: "We have a comprehensive vision for the energy sector in the period between 2015-2025 that seeks to reach the optimal option for safe energy supply, with a focus on increasing the contribution of renewable energy from the total energy mix."

Several projects are currently underway in the field of electric power generation with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts, which are expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
