Weather of Arabia - The Secretary-General of the Jordan Valley Authority, Engineer Hisham Al-Haisa, warned fellow citizens and farmers of the need to take the necessary precautions in light of the noticeable rise in temperatures and its impact on crops, especially in the Jordan Valley, in line with the emergency plan prepared by the Jordan Valley Authority to confront emergency weather conditions in Temperatures continued to rise, calling for taking the necessary measures to preserve crops and the necessity of irrigating their crops during the early morning hours to reduce water evaporation and maintain the fertility of agricultural lands.

Secretary-General Al-Haisa warned citizens living near sites, bodies of water, dams, and the King Abdullah Canal of the necessity of not approaching or swimming in these sites that are not designated for hiking or swimming, as there is a great danger to their lives. He stressed the importance of our fellow farmers, owners of agricultural units, and those residing in agricultural areas cleaning the entrances to the units. Agricultural crops must be removed from weeds for fear of fires and damage to agricultural property and other facilities.
Al-Haisa pointed out that the Jordan Valley Authority is implementing several measures aimed at protecting various water sources, especially the King Abdullah Canal and the dams, during unprecedented heat waves, as they are one of the most important sources of drinking water for the capital, Amman, and a main artery for irrigation water in the Jordan Valley, by conducting round-the-clock patrols to prevent Swimming incidents at these sites.
He stressed that the Jordan Valley Authority will continue its efforts aimed at protecting lives and property and implementing all measures related to preventing swimming in water facilities or exposure to or assaulting authority facilities, and that it will not hesitate to take the most severe measures guaranteed by law for any attack.
