The specialists added that the heat waves that affected the Kingdom during this month came as a result of a high air system controlling the region, which led to the flow of dry and hot air from the African Sahara and the Arabian Peninsula.
Arab Weather experts explained that the global climate changes affecting the world also include Jordan, and may even continue for long periods if the necessary measures are not taken to reduce the effects of global warming. The experts have called for increasing international and local efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve environmental policies to preserve Climate and natural resource sustainability.
In a related context, reports indicated that the agricultural sector was among the sectors most affected by rising temperatures, as this led to a decline in the productivity of some crops and an increase in the demand for water for irrigation.
