Jordan Launching a new platform for the return of overseas students

Arab Weather - Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi said through the daily briefing of Corona's developments in Jordan by launching a new electronic platform that allows students outside Jordan to return to the homeland

In implementation of the directives of His Majesty our Master, may God protect him; working to develop a comprehensive, fair and studied plan to ensure the safe return of our student students abroad, the government has worked over the past days; all government agencies involved in cooperation with the Crisis Cell, the armed forces, security services, intelligence, public security, interior and all concerned parties to To come up with a mechanism to ensure a gradual and safe return of our students, in harmony with the preventive measures that are necessary for all of us, and the rule that we started from is the rule or priority set by His Majesty the King is to protect the health of our citizens inside the Kingdom and outside the Kingdom

We will start with a step-by-step plan whose main determinants are the ability to ensure the health and safety of the students who will be transferred, as well as the preventive measures available in the Kingdom, and a website / electronic platform http://safelyhome.gov.jo will now be launched so that students begin enrolling in it.

We will give 3/4 days how long our student students can register on this platform, and then we will start sorting it as a priority. I will present it to you now and after that we announce flights in order to transport students to the homeland.

The numbers of Jordanians outside the country are large, and the guidance that the Ministry of Health and the relevant health authorities provided us with is that everyone who can stay at home has served himself, served his country, avoided his family, and avoided himself the risk of injury, God forbid.

There is a risk in moving from the place of residence to the airport and also a risk in moving in the plane to the homeland and then moving from the airport to the place of stone, so the health guidelines that came to us and our advice to all our people that everyone who can stay where he is at the current stage at least is A better guarantee of his health and the health of his family, but whoever wishes to return will work with all our capabilities to ensure a safe, secure and graduated return and there will be priorities; approximately 35,000 Jordanian students study outside the Kingdom

We will give priority to our daughters, the students will complete the registration process, and upon screening, the priority will be for female students after that, graduates and first year students, and then the rest of the students, the priority will also be for school students. Also to give priority to those stranded, i.e., who were on short visits or dispatched, and because of the circumstances that the entire world suffers from, were forced to stay outside the Kingdom.

After the registration process, we will sort and send to everyone who is among the priority who will send him a code and use this code in booking a ticket to return to the homeland, through also sites and addresses will be announced.

For everyone who returns will be subject to preventive measures and there will be places for stone in hotels and places of public stone, the stone area will be in the Dead Sea region and everyone who returns will buy a ticket from the lines or locations that will be announced and he will also have to cover the cost of accommodation in hotels or in public places of stone Stakeholders have spoken to hotels and have obtained minimum and very preferential rates to alleviate this burden and will be announced on the site as well. For public places of stone the cost is minimal, and the government will cover everyone who proves that it is not able to cover staying in public places.

So after 3-4 days we finish the screening process until we give a range for students to register and then announce flights that students are in. The priority will be for countries where conditions are more difficult and where there is a large presence of the number of students and we will include in their deportation and there are limitations such as availability of places and priority to ensure their health and health Those who will return to them from their family, and there are also limitations outside the homeland regarding the availability of airports and the ability to transport safely to citizens from their places of residence to the airport.
