Weather of Arabia - The Director of the Meteorological Department, Mr. Raed Rafid Al-Khattab, stated that the Kingdom is expected to be affected on Wednesday, corresponding to 12/21/2022, by a relatively cold and humid air mass accompanying an extension of an air depression centered in southern Cyprus, so the temperatures will drop compared to the previous days, and the weather will be between Partly cloudy to cloudy.
Al-Khattab added that it is expected with the afternoon hours that rain will gradually fall in the north and center of the Kingdom, extending for a short period to include parts of the southwestern highlands, with the possibility that the rain will be heavy accompanied by thunder and hailstones sometimes falling during the evening and early night hours in the northern and central governorates of The kingdom and the possibility of torrential rains forming in valleys and low areas, as well as the northwesterly winds activating at intervals and raising dust in the desert areas.
Al-Khattab said that the rainfall will gradually decrease on Wednesday night, with an opportunity for light showers of rain to fall during the morning hours of Thursday in the north and center of the Kingdom and parts of the eastern regions.
Al-Khattab also emphasized that the drivers should take caution while driving on the roads from the risk of slipping on roads that witness rainfall, and from the risk of low horizontal visibility due to dust in the desert areas and on external roads, and also from the risk of low horizontal visibility over high mountain heights due to Clouds touching the earth's surface.
