The reserve, with its charming natural landscape, extends to the Karak and Madaba mountains in the north and south, and in some places its height reaches 900 meters above sea level. Wadi Mujib has an amazing biodiversity that is constantly being discovered and documented thanks to its difference in altitudes of up to 1,300 metres, and the flow of water in the valley throughout the year from seven tributaries. More than 300 species of plants and ten species of animals have been documented, in addition to many migratory and non-migratory bird species.
