Al-Shaboul stressed that the decision to postpone the start of the second semester comes with the aim of preserving the health of our students and educational staff and contributing to breaking the epidemic curve, which is currently escalating, noting that the decision to advance the date of the winter vacation for schools that was taken previously has contributed to breaking the trend. epidemic at the time.

He stressed the continuity of face-to-face education in schools and that the distance education option is not available, and that school hours will be extended for a period equal to and similar to the period of delaying the start of work until it ends on the sixth of next July.

Health estimates indicate that the current wave of the epidemic that Jordan is witnessing will continue to rise for several weeks, after which the epidemiological curve will begin to decline, hence the importance of the decision to postpone the start of school work to spare about 2 million and 170 thousand students from the height of the epidemic outbreak.

Al-Shaboul explained that the decision excluded 34,000 high school students (al-tawjihi), as well as schools that adopt international programs and the number of their students is about 12,000, provided that these schools apply the health protocol that requires the closure of the school in which the rate of infections with the Corona virus exceeds more than 10%.
