Arab Weather - The school year in Jordan is expected to start in two stages, according to the Ministry of Education. The first stage includes government schools, military culture schools, and UNRWA schools, while the second stage includes private schools.

Phase One: Government schools, military culture schools and UNRWA schools
- Faculty start time: Sunday, August 11, 2024.
- Delivery of textbooks and registration of transfer students: August 14 and 15, 2024.
- Start of students' attendance for the first semester: August 18, 2024.
- First semester exams: from December 18, 2024 to January 5, 2025.
- Winter break: Starts on January 6, 2025 and lasts until January 16, 2025.
- Students start their second semester: January 19, 2025.
- General Secondary Examinations (12th Grade): From May 7, 2025 to May 24, 2025.
- Primary and secondary education exams (grade 11): from June 1, 2025 to June 25, 2025.
- Summer vacation: starts on June 26, 2025, with the preparation of school results and certificates ending on June 30, 2025.
Phase 2: Private Schools
- Start of teaching staff for the first semester: August 25, 2024.
- Student start date: September 1, 2024.
- Winter break: January 8, 2025 to January 30, 2025.
- First semester exams: from December 21, 2024 to January 7, 2025.
- Second semester starts: February 2, 2025.
- Summer break: starts on June 19, 2025.
- Second semester exams: from May 24, 2025 to June 19, 2025.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Dr. Asim Al-Omari, confirmed that the ministry relies on Article 40 of the Education Law No. 3 of 1994 and its amendments, which stipulates that the actual school days during the year range between 195 and 200 days for schools that are closed two days a week.
