The high mountainous heights, and the crossing of the air front was completed at night, as the precipitation became less regular.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The effect of the very cold air mass deepened on Monday, and very cold weather prevailed with scattered showers of rain that were mixed with snow over the tops of the high mountain heights, until Monday evening hours, and the depression moved away after that, and the weather returned to stability as it turned to bitterly cold and the formation of frost and freezing.</p><h3 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> <span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>26-29/January/2022 A Category 4 depression (highly effective) associated with very cold and polar air masses</strong></span></h3><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> During that period, the Kingdom was affected by a fourth-degree air depression (highly effective) accompanied by a very cold polar air mass, and it is considered the strongest since the beginning of the season.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> An effective polar air front crossed on Wednesday afternoon and evening, causing a significant decrease in degrees and an intensification of wind speed. The mountainous heights of more than 1,000 meters received snow on Wednesday evening, and the snow gradually extended to heights of 800 meters above sea level.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The snow had accumulated rapidly over time and covered many regions of the Kingdom, including different parts of the capital Amman and the main cities, and the snow was thunderstorm sometimes, and heavy rain fell on areas below that height, accompanied by heavy hail showers sometimes.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Kingdom crossed a new polar air front with the midnight hours of Wednesday/Thursday, with the deepening of the influence of polar winds in all layers of the atmosphere, which means that the Kingdom entered the peak of the influence of the air depression and the level of snowfall decreased and included heights of 700 meters in the north, central and eastern parts of the Kingdom.
