Arab Weather - Weather maps at the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate that the Kingdom will be affected at the end of the week by a low-pressure system that follows the path of the Khamasin depressions and is accompanied by an air mass with temperatures much warmer than usual for this time of year. Temperatures will rise in all regions of the Kingdom on Thursday as the Khamasin depression approaches, and will be higher than their average for this time of year by about 11-13 degrees Celsius.
The weather will be warm during the daytime in various regions and will tend to be hot during the afternoon and evening hours, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea regions, in addition to the city of Aqaba, with the appearance of clouds at medium and high altitudes. The winds will be southwesterly and moderate in speed on Friday, sometimes active, stirring up dust and dirt in some areas.
During the night hours, Thursday/Friday night, night temperatures will rise compared to previous nights, and will be much higher than their usual average for this time of year. The weather will be pleasant to moderate across the Kingdom, but it will tend to be slightly cold during the late night and early morning hours, especially in the mountainous highlands.
God willing, the Kingdom is expected to be affected on Friday by the Khamasin depression, with temperatures expected to be 9-11 degrees Celsius higher than average. Khamasin weather conditions will prevail, with the weather tending to be hot, dry, and dusty in some areas. The weather will be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with the appearance of medium and high clouds.
Winds will be moderate southwesterly, with occasional strong gusts, causing dust storms of varying intensity from one region to another. Strong winds are also expected to blow in parts of the south and east of the Kingdom.
With the rise in temperatures, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 30 degrees Celsius in most cities and regions of the Kingdom, including the capital, Amman, on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will even exceed 30 degrees Celsius in cities and densely populated areas that are lower than sea level, while in the Jordan Valley, they will rise to the high 30s and even touch 40 degrees Celsius in some parts, amid hot to very hot weather that is warmer than usual for this time of year.
During the night hours of Friday/Saturday, the Khamaseen depression will move away from the Kingdom, and the weather will be pleasant at the beginning of the night. Gradually, during the late night hours and dawn, the Kingdom will be affected by a less hot and humid air mass rushing behind it, so that nighttime temperatures will drop significantly and the weather will become relatively cold and humid with the appearance of low clouds. The winds will be northwesterly and moderate in speed.
And God knows best.
