Jordan.. the first project to generate electricity in the Middle East

This project is the first of its kind in the Middle East to generate renewable energy from solar energy.

The generation of electrical energy through this project began about five months ago using photovoltaic solar cells. The Philadelphia Solar Company, which carried out this project, is conducting a number of studies, in cooperation with companies manufacturing special batteries for solar energy projects globally, with the aim of identifying the possibility of using storage systems in the same project and the possibility Pumping electricity into the network 24 hours a day.

The production capacity of the solar power station in the northern Badia amounted to 10 megawatts.
