Arab Weather - Weather forecasters at the Arab Weather Center indicated that the latest advanced computer outputs indicate that the Kingdom will be affected, God willing, starting from Saturday by a moderate air mass, and thus temperatures will drop to be around or slightly below their average for this time of year, and the weather will be moderate over the mountainous heights, tending to be hot in the lowlands, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with the appearance of low clouds, and maximum temperatures will be between 27 and 30 degrees Celsius over the main cities.
The Kingdom will be increasingly affected by the same air mass on Sunday, and temperatures will drop by about two degrees Celsius, and the weather will be cold in the morning, coinciding with the departure of school students to their schools, and semi-autumnal and moderate in most areas of the Kingdom for the rest of the day (continuing to be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba), and low clouds will appear, especially in the north and center of the Kingdom, especially in the early morning hours, and the winds will be moderate northwesterly, gradually turning active and accompanied by strong gusts exceeding 60 km/hour, which will stir up dust in the south and east of the Kingdom.
On Monday 9/16/2024, temperatures will continue to drop to be about 2-4 degrees Celsius lower than usual for this time of year. A semi-autumnal weather will prevail, tending to be cold in the early morning hours, and pleasant to moderate in temperature in various regions for the rest of the day, although we are still in the summer season from an astronomical perspective. The winds will continue to be northwesterly, moderate in speed, and will be active in the afternoon.
Maximum temperatures on Sunday and Monday will be in the mid-twenties Celsius to slightly higher over the high mountainous areas, including the highlands west of the capital Amman, while they will reach the late twenties in the rest of the low-lying areas, and touch the late thirties in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.
Low clouds will appear, making the weather partly to mostly cloudy on Monday, with scattered showers likely in limited parts of the western part of the Kingdom, concentrated in the north, especially at dawn and early in the morning.
The latest outputs of numerical models indicate a decrease in minimum temperatures to range between 14-17 degrees Celsius over the high mountain peaks and the eastern plains regions, while minimum temperatures will be less than 14 degrees Celsius over the peaks of the Sharah Mountains amid relatively cold but refreshing weather.
It is expected that humid air currents will rush in from the Mediterranean Sea during those nights, so that humidity levels will rise to exceed 90% in some areas of the Kingdom, and the weather will be remarkably humid with the appearance of low clouds, with the possibility of fog forming over some mountain heights, especially the northern ones.
Weather forecast in Jordan, Amman
The weather at that time (i.e. after midnight and the morning) becomes unsuitable for outdoor sessions due to the combination of cold weather conditions and high relative humidity, as well as the occasional activity of northwesterly winds. Therefore, "Arab Weather" advises school students to wear a light coat to suit the relative coolness of the weather during the dawn and early morning hours.
God knows best.
