Jordan | The Kingdom is entering a state of atmospheric instability, starting from Friday, and for several days, and advice to be aware of the possibility of sudden floods

Arab Weather - The weather bulletin issued by the Arab Weather Center stated that the Kingdom, God willing, will enter a state of atmospheric instability from Friday and will continue until Monday, resulting from an extension of the Red Sea depression, and it coincides with the presence of cold air in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Expectations indicated that Friday will witness a gradual increase in amounts of clouds at different heights, with the opportunity over time for thunderstorms of rain, God willing, to be geographically random. It is not excluded that these showers will be heavy and be associated with hail in some narrow geographical areas, especially in the Jordan Valley and the Sea of the Dead regions, causing the flow of valleys and reefs and possibly forming sudden torrents.

And with the hours of Friday / Saturday night, the weather turns to become relatively cold and generally humid in most areas, with the appearance of amounts of clouds at different altitudes. And the opportunity remains prepared, God willing, for thunder showers of rain, God willing, to be geographically random. It is not excluded that these showers will be heavy and be associated with hail in some narrow geographical areas, especially in the Jordan Valley and the Sea of the Dead, and cause the flow of valleys and reefs and may form sudden torrents.

It is not excluded the formation of fog at times in the mountainous heights and the plains, and it may be dense in some areas.

The wind is southwesterly, light to moderate.

A significant drop in temperatures on Saturday, and rain is concentrated in the north

It is expected that there will be a significant decrease in temperatures, and thus become below their usual rates for this time of the year by about 4-6 degrees Celsius, and the weather will be relatively cold and often cloudy, with thunder showers of rain, God willing, especially in the north of the Kingdom. Sometimes it is heavy and is accompanied by hail showers.

It is possible that some showers of rain will extend at intervals to some central regions, and fog is expected to form over the high mountainous heights as a result of the passage of low clouds.

The winds are northwesterly to southwesterly, moderate in speed, energized at times.

As for the night hours, there is also a significant decrease in the night temperatures. The weather is cold and humid and mostly cloudy in most areas. Thunder showers of rain are expected, God willing, especially in the north of the Kingdom, which may be heavy at times and be accompanied by hail showers.

And it is possible that some showers of rain will extend at intervals to some central areas.

It is not excluded the formation of fog in different parts of the Kingdom.

The impact of the weather instability increased on Sunday

The same weather forecast issued by the Arab Weather Center indicated that the temperatures on Sunday will continue to be 4-6 degrees Celsius lower than the usual rates for this time of the year.

The weather continues to be relatively cold and often cloudy, and the opportunity arises with the passage of time for thunder showers of rain, God willing, and they are random geographically and in different regions of the Kingdom.

And in the coming days, and given that the air system controlling the Kingdom’s airspace will be a state of atmospheric instability, it will become:

• The need to stay away and not be in the stomachs of valleys, cliffs, reefs and torrents.
• Pay attention to the risks of sudden floods and follow the weather forecast periodically.
• Attention to the dangers of low horizontal visibility as a result of fog and clouds touching the surface of the earth.
• Avoid trips.
