Strong winds and dust

And, God willing, it is expected that cold, dry, active easterly to southeasterly winds will start from dawn on Friday and increase with the passage of time so that the winds clear up, accompanied by strong gusts on Friday/Saturday night and Saturday night.

It is not excluded that the speed of wind gusts, especially on Saturday, will reach more than 70 km/h, especially in the high mountainous heights, the Shafa Ghouria areas, the Dead Sea and the Sharah Mountains.

It is expected that the winds will lead to a noticeable increase in the feeling of coldness in several regions of the Kingdom, both at night and during the day.

It is also expected that the same winds will cause dust waves at intervals that affect the cities of the Kingdom on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and cause a decrease in the horizontal visibility.

Strong winds are concentrated in the Dead Sea, the Shafa Ghoria and the Jordan Valley

It is expected that the speed of the eastern wind will double when it blows over the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the Shafa areas, because when the wind blows from the eastern side to the western side, this wind rises above the western mountainous heights and then descends and descends very quickly from those heights towards areas The Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, and it acquires additional speeds when it descends from the slopes of the western mountains towards the Jordan Valley, due to the large geographical differences in altitude above sea level between the high mountains and the low valleys.

As a result, the Arab Weather Center alerts farmers of the dangers of the impact of these eastern winds on greenhouses and crops in the Jordan Valley or Shafa Ghoria regions. It is also recommended to install external holdings.

Cold weather at night calls for heavy clothes

It is expected, God willing, that the weather will continue to be cold in many areas during the late night hours during the weekend, and it will be cold in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the city of Aqaba.

And the temperature at night is around or less than 10 degrees Celsius in large areas of the Kingdom, including the capital Amman, especially the eastern plains and the Badia regions, and warns of the danger of increased chances of infection with colds and seasonal diseases.
