Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said, based on the latest data from what is called computer simulation, that the Kingdom will be affected, God willing, during the afternoon hours of Tuesday by a state of atmospheric instability, which will recede during the night hours and resume during the afternoon hours of Wednesday, accompanied by thunderstorms and perhaps hail showers, especially in the northern and central regions.
In detail, during the daytime hours on Tuesday, cold weather will prevail in various regions of the Kingdom, and the maximum temperature in Amman will be around 10 degrees Celsius, which is around its average for this time of year. The Kingdom will be affected during the afternoon and evening hours by a state of atmospheric instability, as cloud cover increases and the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in some northern and central regions, which may be accompanied by thunder at times, and the winds will be southwesterly, light to moderate in speed.
During the night hours of Tuesday/Wednesday, the effects of the atmospheric instability will recede from the Kingdom, cloud cover will gradually decrease, and the weather will become very cold in most areas, with minimum temperatures approaching zero degrees Celsius, especially in the eastern plains and high mountainous areas. Frost may also form in parts of these areas.
There is a significant increase in surface humidity levels, which creates a chance for fog to form in several areas of the eastern plains and the Badia, including the Zizia area and Queen Alia International Airport. It is not unlikely that the fog will be dense and cause a decrease in horizontal visibility, and the fog will include parts of the desert road leading from the capital, Amman, to the south of the Kingdom, and sometimes reaches inside some cities.
On Wednesday morning, 12/2/2025, very cold weather prevails with fog forming in parts of the eastern plains. During the rest of the day, temperatures drop and are 2-4 degrees Celsius below average. The weather is cold with a gradual increase in cloud cover and the atmosphere turns from partly cloudy to cloudy. The Kingdom is affected by a state of atmospheric instability, especially in the afternoon and during the afternoon. Showers of rain fall in the north and center of the Kingdom, sometimes accompanied by lightning and thunder, and extend towards parts of the south and east of the Kingdom, God willing. The rainfall is also accompanied by hail showers in the high mountainous heights.
On Wednesday/Thursday night, the weather will be cold, mostly cloudy with rain in the north, center and east of the Kingdom, sometimes extending towards the heights of Karak and Tafilah, with hail showers in the highlands. The weather will be very cold and light snow showers are likely to fall on the peaks of the southern highlands. Fog is expected to form in the highlands due to the passage of clouds touching the ground. The winds will be southwesterly, moderate in speed, and become active in speed during the late night and dawn hours in the highlands.
On Thursday, temperatures will be 2-4 degrees Celsius below average. The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, generally cold and very cold in the high mountains, with showers of rain, God willing. Hail showers will also fall in the high mountainous areas during the morning hours, and the chances of rain will decrease from the southern regions during the day.
The winds will be active westerly, with strong gusts in the high mountains, exposed areas and deserts, and will cause dust storms in the eastern desert and eastern plains.
And God knows best.
