Jordan Valley Authority calls for staying away from water gathering areas and dams

Arab Weather - The Jordan Valley Authority announced a state of medium emergency, due to expectations that Jordan will be affected by a state of atmospheric instability, which includes rainfall, the formation of torrents in valleys, and a rise in water levels in water bodies.

The Authority explained that it had taken all necessary measures and preparations, as it activated emergency rooms and raised the readiness of cadres, mechanisms and equipment in the Jordan Valley areas, the Control Directorate, and all its affiliated directorates, in addition to the dam sites, as part of the emergency plan.

The authority called on citizens, farmers and livestock breeders to take all precautions to protect property and lives, follow developments in the weather, and stay away from areas where water collects, dams, valleys and torrents.

The Jordan Valley Authority confirmed that its shift crews in all the Authority’s departments in the Jordan Valley will work around the clock to take the necessary measures and meet citizens’ needs with the utmost responsiveness and deal with developments in the weather conditions.
