Arab Weather - Due to the Kingdom being affected by a low pressure system accompanied by heavy rains, the Jordan Valley Authority declared a state of emergency in preparation to deal with the repercussions of the low pressure system and the accompanying formation of floods in valleys and rising water levels in water bodies.
The Jordan Valley Authority confirmed that all necessary measures have been taken by activating the emergency plan in all its departments in the northern, central and southern Jordan Valley regions, in addition to the Control Directorate and all its affiliated sites.
The readiness of personnel, mechanisms and equipment has also been raised to meet the needs of citizens in various regions, including all dam sites spread across the Kingdom.
The Jordan Valley Authority called on citizens, farmers, and livestock breeders to take all necessary precautions to protect lives and property, stressing the need to stay away from areas where water collects, dams, valleys, and torrents, and to adhere to following up on the weather conditions through official sources.
The Authority explained that its on-duty crews in all its departments in the Jordan Valley will work around the clock to ensure a quick and effective response to all emergency situations and deal with developments in the prevailing weather conditions.
