Arab Weather - The Jordanian national football team is preparing to face its Iraqi counterpart in the third and decisive round of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The match will be held at Basra Stadium on Thursday, November 14 , at 7:15 pm Amman time.
The match will be broadcast on Qatari channels "beIN Sports 3" and "Al Kass HD". The technical staff of the Jordanian national team, led by coach Jamal Salami, announced a list of 26 players for this decisive stage, most notably Yazeed Abu Laila, Nour Bani Attia, Yazan Al Arab, Musa Al Taamari, and Yazan Al Naimat.
The Jordanian team began its technical and physical training in Amman last Thursday, and the preparations will continue until Tuesday evening, after which the team will leave for Basra on Wednesday, November 13, to play the match.
After the match with Iraq, the Jordanian national team will head to face the Kuwaiti national team on Tuesday, November 19, at 9:15 pm at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium.
Jordan is second in Group 2 with 7 points, tied with Iraq, while South Korea leads the group with 10 points. Oman and Kuwait are in fourth and fifth place with 3 points, while Palestine is at the bottom of the group with 2 points.
According to the qualifying system, the first two teams from each group qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup, while the teams that finish third and fourth in each group play additional matches in the fourth round to determine the other qualifiers.
The weather in Basra is pleasant and stable during the match, and the winds are light to moderate in speed.
